The software must be installed using an Admin profile. This means an Admin must sign into the computer. Entering an admin password on a restricted account will not suffice.

  1. Go through the MeasureX installation using the Admin account.
  2. When installation is complete, navigate to the MeasureX directory in Program Files, typically: C:\Program Files (x86)\SensorEdge\MeasureX.
  3. Right click the file MeasureX.exe and click Properties.
    1. Navigate to the Security tab
    2. Allow Full Control to the users
    3. Click Apply, and then OK.
  4. Right click the MeasureX.exe file and click Create shortcut
  5. Right click the MeasureX.exe Shortcut and click Properties
    1. Navigate to the Compatibility tab
    2. At the bottom, click the Change settings for all users button
      1. Select the button for  Run this program in compatibility mode for: 
      2. Select Windows 7 from the dropdown list
      3. In the Settings area, click the button for Run this program as an administrator
      4. Click Apply, and then OK.
    3. Click OK to exit the properties box.
  6. Right Click the MeasureX.exe Shortcut and click Copy.
  7. Navigate to the Start Menu directory, typically: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MeasureX
    1. Delete the existing shortcut
    2. Paste the new shortcut into the folder
  8. Navigate to the Desktop
    1. Paste the new shortcut to the desktop
  9. MeasureX should now work across all users on this computer.
